Obama's New War

What is it about the Democrats and class warfare?  It's one of the oldest political cards in their deck, next to the one on race and it once again is being played.  Whenever they run out of excuses or can't have their way in the political arena the wealthy are to blame.

And so it goes on the stalled debt ceiling talks.  Obama can't get what he wants because the Republicans refuse to raise taxes in a down economy and high unemployment throughout the land.  Obama and his administration have had two and a half years to correct the situation and all they have done is got us deeper in debt, killed the economy and created a sustained path of unemployment for the future.  His explanation?  It's still Bush's fault.  His course of action?  Raise taxes on the wealthy.  His reasoning?  It's unfair that many children can't go to college while the rich folks could easily give up a couple of hundred thousand a year to help make it happen.  That was his position as stated in his news conference on Monday morning.

So the new taxes have nothing to do with decreasing our debt limit and are really more about more money for entitlements.  In fact, Obama wants to raise the debt limit so he can use the borrowed funds to start a new stimulus program for the country.  Apparently they have found some more shovel ready jobs but we have to get the wealthy on board by way of taxes to clear the way to make it all happen.  The problem is that Obama is an educated man and even he knows that we could never tax enough to get us out of debt. He would never admit it and risk inflaming his progressive liberal base.  They are already on his case for extending the Bush tax cuts, which suddenly were a good idea and just as suddenly now, aren't. This is just more of his spread the wealth philosophy only now he refers to it as "share the pain."  The President has shown us clearly what his future plans are for the nation.  It's the same old liberal democratic plans calling for more taxes and more spending, grow the government and lead us ever closer into a socialist economy where government will take care of everything but leave you with nothing.  It is exactly why they got their butts kicked last November.  It is exactly why Obama has resorted to class warfare.  It's his only hope of stirring up the independent voters who have abandoned him. It's the old Democratic mantra, when all else fails, blame the rich they are the ones causing all the pain and suffering.  If we just tax the crap out of them everything will work out.

Has anyone ever noticed how many wealthy Democrats hold seats in Congress?  I will bet they all have good tax lawyers and accountants to help them "share the pain."

WHAT DID HE SAY????

"Call me naive, but my expectation is that leaders are going to lead."  That came straight from the Presidents mouth at his news conference yesterday.  Mr. lead from behind actually got on Senate leaders for a lack of leadership on the debt ceiling and tax revenue issue.  The guy himself has been totally absent on the issue, refusing to even say how much he wants to raise the debt limit or for what he wants to spend it on. All he wants is to tax corporations and private jet owners, the same jets built with his stimulus money.  Great idea Obama, you stimulate the aircraft business to create and save jobs, then tax those who buy them which will result in them not buying them.  What a moron! Clinton tried the same thing with his luxury tax on yachts and diamonds and it was repealed because people stopped buying them. That's Obama leadership for you.  He even had the nerve to tell them to stay and work on it through the 4th of July break.  He said, "Do what I do, stay here and work. I've been working, on Afghanistan, Bin Laden, Greece." Funny how all of those have nothing to do with our domestic crisis. I'm positive the unemployed in this country are at least glad to know the president has not been on the golf course this week.  Maybe next week he can find time to work on domestic problems and while he's at it he might try reading a few self help books on leadership. It's never too late, well, it very well could be in this case.

The Man That Never Should Have Been

Obama and the Democrats are willing to let the entire country go down the drain in hopes of blaming the entire thing on the Republicans going into the 2012 elections.  It won't work.  After two and one half years they can't blame Bush anymore.  It's Obama's economy, it's his war, it's his lame foreign policy, it's his domestic policy and America is tired of it.  He listens to no one, not the people, not his military advisers, not Congress, not even his own economic advisers.  His political donors are throwing good money after bad because this guy is going down  and going down hard come election day. All the help and support from his lame stream media buddies will be in vain. Their credibility has been long lost continually trying to back up a president who is going to go down as worse than Jimmy Carter. The man connects only with the left and his popularity with Americans has worn thin.

And lets not go into the Bin Laden thing. He had no choice but to say go. To not do so or delay would have been political suicide, even though he needs no additional help in that area.  His short popularity boost has withered away and left him with only the standard liberal talking points for re-election. Class envy, class warfare,  unions verses corporate evil entities, more entitlements and of course tax, tax, tax. All of which will never boost the economy or help the unemployment situation.  Make no mistake, everything he and the Democrats tried, failed, so bad in fact even he had to joke about his shovel ready jobs stimulus. No one was laughing. Since he can't get his ultra liberal job killing, economy busting proposals through Congress, he must resort to the use of backdoor policy making through his czars and agencies to subvert the congressional system and make a mockery of our Constitution.  On matters concerning the military he has been even worse.

Only a fool would agree to a military surge, not commit the number of troops requested and then announce a timeline for pulling them out. Then announce he is pulling out more than recommended, leaving those troops left to fight on to pull a heavier combat load than necessary in order to hold on to the hard fought gains of the previous year. Senator McCain is right on this count but for Obama it's easier to play to his liberal base than do the right thing for our military.  The political necessity on the home front is much more important than the political reality on the battleground and the President finds it easier to risk military lives than risk the life of his political future.

America can no longer afford the hopey changey ideals of Obama World and the liberal lunatics in charge of running the show.  The Democrats realize their grip is slipping, no one is buying the crap they are selling and many of them are too aware that their boss has lost his luster. Not because Republicans were the party of no and refused to let Obama have his way but because he force fed Americans unpopular legislation and ruled by decree and deceit. He continues to do so and will pay for it in 2012.  He simply has become the man that never should have been.
