BLAGOJEVICH IS PALIN??

Rod Blagojevich is Sarah Palin? That's correct! According to Carol Marin, Chicago Sun-Times Columnist... Let's just say it. Rod Blagojevich is Sarah Palin. Rising stars and fresh faces, once upon a time. http://www.suntimes.com/news/marin/1773133,CST-EDT-carol16.article

Rising stars, fresh faces, once upon a time? What fairy tale are you referring to? The last time a reality check was done, Rod Blagojevich was in a flaming tailspin ready to crash into Federal Court. The FBI had arrested him on what U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald called “a staggering level of corruption involving pay-to-play politics in Illinois' top office.” Sarah Palin was not impeached or forced out of office by some scandal. She resigned by her own will and no matter how the media spins it, she left in a far more honorable fashion than Blagojevich. If Carol Marin has a problem with all the face time Blago is seeking than just say so and leave it at that. Bashing Palin through some weak analogy isn't needed to make the point. Sarah can handle it, so bash her in a seperate article.

Blago has taken the low road, much like Levi Johnston, (now that's a good comparison), and both will gladly appear on any show for any amount of money. Sarah on the other hand will be going to Hong Kong as the keynote speaker at the CLSA investors forum, the annual conference of global investment managers. That's hardly “fresh faces, once upon a time" as Marin claims. She did get the “rising star” part right. Sarah's book will soon be out along with a tour and swarms of media attention will follow. Requests for speaking engagements, well over a 1000, and campaigning for fellow conservatives will keep her busy for some time to come as well as in the media spotlight. All Marin has to do is wait a little longer and she'll have all the Palin bashing material she needs. I suppose that's good for her because sooner or later Blago's off to jail.

One more item you may wish to note. Dinner with Sarah? Ride 2 Recovery a charity program that supports wounded Vets through cycling is sponsoring an auction on Ebay and so far the winning bid is almost up to $40,000. Lunch with Carl Rove, who is in the same auction, is only at $13,600. That's a pretty good amount for someone labeled as a fallen star. You can bet that anything Blagojevich puts on Ebay, the money ends up in his pocket!
