"SAFE SCHOOLS" CZAR MUST GO!

Why does Kevin Jennings still have a job in the Obama Administration as "Safe Schools" Czar?
As a teacher in 1988 a 15 year old male student confided in him that he was having sex with an older male. Jennings response to the boy was, "I hope you had sense enough to use a condom." If this was a 15 year old female student would his response have been the same?

When confronted with the issue Jennings replied, "Twenty one years later I can see how I should have handled this situation differently. I should have asked for more information and consulted legal or medical authorities." "Teachers back then had little training or guidance about this kind of thing."

Legal or medical authorities? How about calling law enforcement and getting a child predator off the streets! 1988 was not the dark ages of child abuse! What special training does a teacher need to recognise abuse...what sort of guidance? His words of wisdom to this boy make him an accomplice to the crime. Worse he writes about the experience in a book as if it's a social delima which underlines the need for safe sex.

What is the official response from the Administration? Department of Education spokesman Justin Hamilton declined to comment on Jennings' statements about the incident, since it took place in 1988. But Obama's Secretary of Education, Arne Duncan, said Wednesday he is "honored" to work with Jennings and described him as "uniquely qualified for his job."
"Kevin Jennings has dedicated his professional career to promoting school safety," Duncan said. "He is uniquely qualified for his job and I am honored to have him on our team." (From Fox News, read entire article here): Fox News "Safe School" Czar

This is exactly why Congress needs to be involved when these czars are chosen. This would have come out in questioning and approval never would have been granted. His appointment by Obama again demonstrates his lack of judgement as President. Their denial that they see nothing wrong with his appointment, since it all happened back in 1988, is unbelievable.

We're not talking about some "homophobic" reaction here. This is about the people running public education for the country. It's about keeping our schools safe and Kevin Jennings has already shown by his own admission, he can't do that. He would put his research for writing a book ahead of a child's welfare.
