CHRISTMAS WISH LIST FOR SANTA

My Christmas wish list, in no particular order.

I wish...

That the 11 fact checkers for Sarah Palins book “Going Rogue” would be reassigned by the Associated Press to look into the “Climategate” scandal.

That President Obama would take Liz Cheney up on her suggestion that he send the mother of a fallen soldier in the War On Terror to accept his Nobel Peace Prize, to serve as a reminder to the Nobel Committee the price paid for freedom and who is providing it to them and the rest of the world.

That the three Navy Seals, who are under court martial for giving a murderous Muslim terrorist a fat lip and a punch in the stomach, are acquitted of all charges and instead awarded the Navy Cross.

That Al Gore would simply go away. Ditto to  Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Eric Holder, and a lot of others too numerous to list here.

That there's a power grid failure in Copenhagen this week.

That Israel would blow to hell Iran's nuclear program and show Ahmadinejad just how powerless they really are.

That President Obama's approval rating of 47% keeps heading south for the winter.

That 90 year old Retired Army Col. Van T. Barfoot, a World War II veteran and Congressional Medal Of Honor recipient is allowed to keep his 21 foot flag pole and flag flying in the front yard of his suburban Richmond home and that the home owners association trying to make him take it down all receive a visit from the Grinch this Christmas.

That the American people would tell the EPA to take their announcement that greenhouse gases pose a public health threat and stick it where the sun don't shine!

That the next time the President holds a job summit some actual real jobs in the private sector will be created and that he actually invites those who can do it.

That the President would learn in regards to the War On Terror, that “VICTORY” is not a bad word and that the next time he is at West Point he should try using it.

That the 9/11 terrorists never make it to trial in New York and for that matter never make it out of Guantanamo.

That English is declared the official language of the United States.

That the border wall along Mexico be finished and security enforced.

And finally...

That everyone realizes it's OK to say "Merry Christmas" in public. If someone is offended, tough! We are a Christian nation, founded on Christian principals and we celebrate the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We always have and we always will.

So, Merry Christmas to all and remember to keep our troops in your thoughts and prayers. They enjoy receiving cards and gifts too.

I know my list is long and far from complete but I don't want Santa to think I'm being greedy.

Edisto Joe

UPDATE: 12/09/2009
Thank you Santa! My Christmas wish No.8,  90 year old Retired Army Col. Van T. Barfoot will be allowed to keep flying his American Flag on his 21 foot flagpole at his home in Richmond, Va.  (Take note all you non-believers).

  5. Only an idiot would identify himself as anonymous and then in the next line say , "this is Santa." Besides, Santa already granted one wish on this list, so you must be an imposter!

  7. To Anonymous:
Before you go saying that my ancestors owned slaves, I suggest that you look at your own involvment in slavery. PORTUGAL had a thriving slave market in the 16th century. In the city of Lisbon alone,10% of the population consisted of black African slaves. The rest of the slave population came from various reigions of the globe. It was this market that supported a large section of your population with jobs and wealth. You prized the African slaves which you sold for Gold to the Tropical colinies in the Americas.
Maybe they have erased that from your history books. So chances are you also may have an ancestoror two that not only owned slaves but sold them.
    Here endeth the lesson!

    Edisto Joe.

  8. Thank you wikipedia bot!
And I'll let you know that they do teach that in Portuguese schools. They also teach that portugal was amoung the first countries to abolish slavery.

And I'd also like to say 3 things:
*I sayed your ancestors owned slaves not judging by your country, but by you being a right extremist.
*I know for a fact that an ancestor of mine owned slaves, and I also know that an ancestor of mine married a slave.
*I have no power over what happened then, I do however have power over what I can do now, which is to not be a xenophobe and a fascist.

One more thing, just because you have access to the statistics from where I'm accessing your (blogger.com's) webserver It doesn't mean you can divulge them, I own the right to post as anonymous, just as you own the right to delete my posts, or just simply to deny anonymous posting.
Also I could be under 5k proxies and you would just sound ridiculous. (and maybe I am ;p)
